Happy New Year!
On Monday, January 4, our teachers prepared for the beginning of this “new school year” by attending a one day retreat delivered by Steve Morgan. His day long message emphasized the importance of setting goals in our personal and professional lives and how to live a life that is open and accepting of change that will definitely come our way.
On the topic of setting goals, he used the acronym FISHES to deliver his message. He said in setting goals we need to include the following:
* F – Family – we need to do activities/things with our family not for our family
* I – Intellect – we need to constantly develop and use our brain
* S – Social – we need to include play in our lives
* H – Health – we need to take care of our bodies
* E – Economics – we need to base our family budgets on needs not wants
* S – Spiritual – we need to have a spiritual life, to thank our God, to talk with our God
I hope at the beginning of this New Year, you find the strength to fulfill your new goals that will bring you and your family peace and happiness.
