Dear Parents,

What a fun time in our city. With all the excitement about the big game and Mardi Gras, our teachers are working overtime just to keep our students focused on their daily assignments. So many people in our city are being affected in such a positive way from this current football season; it is hard not to get caught up in all the excitement. Everyday a new black and gold, fleur de lis, Saint’s item hits the stores and disappears by the end of the day.

One of my favorite “sayings” showing up on the new items is just the one word, “believe”. If you think about it that is one powerful message. You can attribute the word to your faith, your work, your hobby, or to yourself.

We tell our students all the time that they need to believe in themselves, believe that they can be successful, believe that they were all given talents by God and it is their responsibility to develop those talents. If our students know that we believe in them that will give them a jumpstart in believing in themselves, and then the sky is the limit.

It is only one word – BELIEVE – but it carries a powerful message!
